Accident on Renner Road

Anyone heard anything about an accident on Renner Rd this morning? I keep getting text messages about it but haven't found anything online.

I drove by this morning taking my son to daycare right after it happened. Was at least 3-4 cars, one was in the median (looks like it somehow came from the lane heading towards Waldorf) and two other cars in the lane heading towards St. Mary's were very smashed up. When I came back through after dropping him off, the ambulances and police were there and they were trying to remove the driver of the car in the median. Whatever happened, it looked pretty bad.

From what I could tell, a dark colored PT Cruiser was in the median (what was left of one) and two other vehicles spread around. It did look really bad, heard the helicopter above.

i was about 20 cars back on 5N when they stopped traffic for it in both directions, so I followed the Keller bus in front of me that made a U-Turn. I drafted that bus all the way back to Rt 5 at the Dash in.

It was huge. I'm sorry for all those involved. Hope everyone is all right.

Not surprised, they pull out of there and further down where the townhouses are onto northbound 5 like they own the road. I have to jam on the brakes at least once a week because of some idiot not paying attention.

Sure hope they are alright, but next time they pay attention. What a biatch of a way to learn...

Must have missed it, came through about 530, was this on Rt. 5 in Forest Park @ Renner, or northside of Forest Park @ Renner and the gravel pit entrance.

You just barely missed it 'cause I came through at 5:45 and it had just happened probably minutes earlier, if that...it was before Forest Park where you can take Renner in the exit right off of 5 (up by the gravel pit).

One of my kids this morning said that they saw somebody in cuffs, so I'm not sure what that was all about..But I heard it looked really bad.

Praying for those involved.

Wow it was actually 5:37 when I turned onto Mattawomen from 5, actually looked at the clock, first day back on dayshift in 3 months, always look to see what time it is when I hit that spot on my commute, its usually between 5:30 and 5:34 everyday and I know I can hit Marlboro by 6am. Had my scanner and FD pager with me but didnot hear it get dispatched, getting old, hard of hearing I guess.
