I was rear-ended at a light in September by the mall in Columbia and was pushed through the intersection. My car was totaled. After I realized what had just happened and got over the shock of being hit, I drove it up onto the curb as much as I could as there wasn't a shoulder and the drivers there always seem so oblivious to their surroundings (wonder why I got hit at a red light!). The cops and EMS seemed pleased that it had been moved, but I'm not quite sure what the law is. I think that if you can safely move your car you should, even if it's not such a clear cut case like mine was. I would rather the police and investigators exam the evidence later on than have another person slam into my car and then try to tell my insurance company that I could have safely moved it, but refused to. I like your siggy, by the way. Very true

| Those kinds of signs are generally only posted on major interstates and not local roads. I'd go with whatever the cop says or what seems safer and always keep some kind of camera in your car (cell phone camera, disposable, etc.) along with your insurance & registration info. Just my two cents' worth!
