Ouch, salt in the wound.
Guess it depends on where in Dyncorp you work. A friend told me that it had something to do with the Commander of the Hangar they work at.

I think it depends on which contract you are under. There are different contracts for different functions and they spell out what you get/don't get. Have him talk to some of the guys (if he can) while he's there or if he's offered the job to see what the contract specifies. And good luck to him!

Thanks, but he's pretty much limited where he is at. It's a choice, he is going to school and the schedule is convenient for that. I believe he intends on finding something better once he has more school behind him. There are opportunities within Dyncorp, but most of those want you to work overtime hours (quite a few). I need that man at home to take care of the future stinkies.

Thumbs down DynaCorp

Company looks out for self. Does not look out for employees. I heard they do alot of buddy type promoting. Alot of people I talk to hate it there and are leaving as fast as they can get a better job.

Thumbs down

I worked there for 12 years, and saw a lot of things I didn't like. The only way to get promoted is to be friends with a boss . If your a woman, then you are already at a disadvantage. There are other things I could say, but I wont besides the fact that they do NOT look out for their employees!!!

The only reason DynCorp is still on the base and other bases is that they: Bid the lowest to get the contract. Thus, employees get lower pay. We know the Military will always buy from the lowest bidder. This is a shame, since there are better companies out there to do the job. If you try to quit to go to a better job, you are intervined with and never get the new job. If you get lucky and get a better job, you get blackballed by DynCorp. :tool:
