Gibson Country Sausage & Produce

Just noticed this place yesterday. It is in Lexington Park on Great Mills Rd before S Essex. Anyone ever visit this place? I like Nicks, but if this place is decent I would give it a try.

Yes, but didn't it change names when it was sold? This is near the laundromat right?

Pretty sure they are out of business. They were nothing like Nicks.

I think they are still there, just another name. I know the previous owners. Got stuff there when they owned it.

I just saw the sign as I drove by. I thought in a pinch it may work out. Last week I ended up paying 3.99/lb for my brisket from McKays and that is really high compared to what I'm used to. Walmart had some under $2 but they didn't look as good. Yesterday the ones at Walmart looked great but I didn't need one. They both came from the same meat packer which is a good one but if I had more choices it would be nice.

I need some pig belly now to make some bacon.

I don't shop at McKays for that reason, their prices seem a tad higher then other places.

I have gotten bacon and sausage from what I think is Crafts now...Good.
