| Seafood I was wondering if anyone has any Maryland recipes for seafood? My Husbands b-day is on the 25 and he loves crab cakes and shrimp. I want to make something yummy for him. I never made crab cakes before. I would like try to try but would like a back up just in case i mess things up. Any ideas? |

| I can do you one better. Buy some crab meat mix it with Kraft Mayonaise and put it in a baking dish with a little old bay sprinkled on it. Bake it till the top starts to turn brown and eat it. Instant Crab Imperial. |

| I'm not sure how "Maryland' it is but you could include bacon wrapped scallops in your meal, it's easy enough and so good |

My birthday is the 24th. We are going to Sandgates for crab legs and oysters this weekend but if you want a great crabcake, go to Clarke's Landing.

You can't go wrong with the recipe on the back of Old Bay Seasoning. (both crab cakes and shrimp) Your issue will be buying the good crab meat and shrimp. I don't know where to guide you for that. | |

| I use mozzerella cheese instead of bread crumbs.

| Interesting. I'll try it (the next time I get some good crab meat) Any other alterations to the basic recipe? Pixie: Funny you say that about potato bread. It's the only bread on my counter and I do add a dollop of mustard. She asked for a basic recipe, and I thought the tried and true was perfect before she goes and experiments. Only trouble she will have with the shrimp is if she overcooks. I'm starving for some more seafood and have chicken for tonight. ![]() In the scheme of everything going on, I am happy to have chicken. |
