I'm rattling - there was a mexican restaurant there - with cheap, really good mexican food and the best ice cold pitchers of sangria. Cockroaches climbing up the wall - today it would make me sick to my stomach to see that. The food was great - on drill weekends we'd go over there for lunch with the reservists.
Pub La Casa. Awesome food. It was next to The Tropics and in the back was once a bar called The Phone Booth. The SkipJack hotel was there also.
I've been here since ex got stationed here in '74

OMG you two...a walk down memory lane. I used to wash dishes and cook at the Pub LaCasa when I was 15 y.o. back in '83-'84. The cockroaches were so big I practically had to fight them off with boxing gloves! I also worked the front desk at SkipJack Inn from '86-'87; the front desk was the old bar from the Pub LaCasa.

West Coast...Lums...

I'm looking forward to trying LJS. Malt vinegar all the way. I wonder if they charge extra?
