Aren't you the same dipstick that said nobody can pull you over for text messaging and if they did, you wouldn't show them your phone and you'd take it to court?

Maybe you should heed your own advice, since I happen to agree with this post

A Louisiana temp tag isn't really a "tag" like Md or Va has. It's just a small paper document that gets tapped on the inside of the rear window. She kept telling me that it needed to be installed where the licence plate goes. She was having a hard time accepting the fact that not every state does things the same way and that for once in her LE career she was wrong. Eventually she accepted that she was wrong but it took a while.
That is the only problem that I've ever really had from cops, they won't accept that they are wrong too sometimes. CCSO is very good IMO and my experiences with them are all positive. However the MSP give me a different impression, from some of the driving I've seen to the fact that they are the ones charged with lincensing firearms in the state yet, in my experience, have almost no knowledge of the firearms laws.

I went to the local barracks to do a lower reciever transfer, which by Maryland law is considered the gun, and the two troopers I dealt with were totally lost in the sauce and had no knowledge of the firearms laws.

Kept telling me that I needed the portion with the firing pin, which anyone with any knowledge on this can tell you is totally untrue. Yet, he kept insisting, wasn't until I made several phone calls to lincensing division which was in Jessup at the time and having them call the barracks before they admitted they didn't know yet were just going off what they "thought made sense".

From your comments I would assume that you are in law enforcement. You sound too juvenile to be out of high school much less behind the wheel of a cruiser. I hope they let you take your Mom with you to keep you in line.

BTW, salaried means just that. Those of us that are in salaried positions are not allowed to take partial days leave for personal business. Our time system won't accept it. We aren't stealing money from our employers and they trust us to be adult enough to manage our work and personal hours. We even get paid if we work from home. The flip side of the coin is that many of us also work well beyond 40 hours a week and we also don't get paid overtime for that, so it all eventually evens out.

If you knew anything at all, you'd know that LE's job is to enforce the law. Why would they need to know the law to enforce it? Can't they just go with what 'seems right'?

7 years ago we were "raided" in connection to some drug dealing neighbors.. We didn't know them or ever speak to them.. In the end they were taken to jail and everything was taken away.. We received an apology and were found not to be connected I don't hold it against them... That's a scary thing to go through when your not guilty!
