Any theatres planned?

Are there any movie theatres planned anywhere in SOMD area? The only theatres nearby are terrible, old or in a bad area I would never go to.
I know theres some new construction going on along the north side of 3 notch road near the base but have no idea whats planned.

Went to a movie theater in Maine yesterday.
About every 30-45 minutes security walked thru with a flashlight.
Clean and quiet theater, very nice.

There is supposed to be a new theater being built in Brandywine at the new Costco mall thing, but i have not been by there since costco was finished. Once finished, if its cool and all we will go there to see movies, if not, back over to Hoffman in Alexandria! Love that theater. Went to the theater in annapolis 2 weekends ago called "bowtie theaters" what a dump! hope thats not whats going in in Brandywine.

various stores and restaurants are being built but that's all i've heard about. everyone keeps talking about the possibility of a theater but they keep bailing because the area probably can't successfully support the type of theater we're hoping to get.

security? odd. i've been in good theaters and haven't seen that before. the flashlight would be annoying.

No. At least not in St. Mary's County.

I have seen the plans for the Red Robin. It's going to be directly across Rt235 from Chevy Chase Bank.

Have you seen babies crying, or people talking on cell phones or to each other? I've seen that EVERY time I venture into one of the hood rat theaters in this area.
Didn't see it there.

the flashlight is pointed down while they're walking thru.

Way back in the day when I was a younger belvak, we used to go to movies at Marlow Heights, Oxon Hill, and Andrews theaters. There was always an usher who walked up and down the aisles several times throughout the movie making sure nobody had their feet up on the back of the seat in front of them. Those sure were racy times!!

NAS Pax River has a great theater and people actually stand and place their hands over their hearts when they play the national anthem unlike our President!!!

yeah over here i see that alot. in good theaters that i used to go to i rarely saw it, even in my college town. but if it was a problem there, security is better than letting it continue!

When I was growing up (mind you, this was 80s-90s), they never taught us to place our hands on our hearts for anything except the Pledge of Allegiance. After 9/11 I occasionally noticed people doing it for the National Anthem and when I hear it, if I remember, I make sure to place my hand over my heart...but I never saw this as a standard.

Any reason why you need to be political in a thread that has nothing to do with politics?
