Accident at 235 and Hermanville Last Night

I was on my way home when this accident happened, and the cops are lucky they didn't cause more accidents trying to get to this one. If they keep this up, they're gonna' have the same reputation as the Calvert county cops.

Car Turns into Oncoming Traffic Sending Two to Hospital - Southern Maryland News, Charles County, Calvert County and St. Mary's County News

Oh, accident happened last night. thebaynet didn't report until this afternoon.

Dear TBN, it's no longer news.

No love,

this happens all the time to me coming North...especially when i'm turning right to go to Gate 3...I have a large truck so i know they see me...people just turn right in front of you..it's as if they think you will stop...

I was coming back from lunch yesterday and I made the left Sbound and thought, "Man, I might have cut that a little close" I looked in my rearview and someone behind me cut right in front of the Nbound traffic...i just shook my head...

I almost never travel 235 through that intersection. I cross 235 twice a day; to and from work. Are there left-turn arrows at the lights? There aren't any at the intersection that crosses 235. I would use North, South, East or West, but I can never tell. If it weren't for the electronic compass in my car, I'd never know.

Just read Thurley42's post. NOW I know East from West etc., etc.. /:-\

You can't just drive for yourself around here anymore. You have to pay attention for the other guy too, so YOU don't get creamed.

Yes, there are turn arrows. That area is bad because there is a slight curve going westbound, and if cars are flying coming from that way -- they can come up on you a little faster than your aware if you're turning onto Forrest Park Rd.

That said, the SMCSO are great at policing, but they cannot direct traffic to save their lives.

I tried to get through there around 7:45 last night and they were still cleaning the mess up. I also looked for it on the Baynet but figured they didn't know about it.

If you're on Rt. 235
North=Waldorf, DC
East=Calvert
West=Virginia
South=Point Lookout

Suns rises in the east, sets in the west. Make sense?
