Need a recommendation for an electrician please

It seems like simple work we should be able to do ourselves, but the wiring in our kitchen is from the 70s and not cooperating.

So, I need a recommendation for a great electrician to install a new outlet, upgrade 2 outlets to GFCIs, swap out 2 other outlets (black colored ones for white) and make sure the kitchen wiring is up to code and won't burn the house down.

We're getting ready to install a tile backsplash, so now is the best time to tear up drywall if necessary.

We're in Lusby, btw. Thanks!

We used King Electric to do some work in our kitchen - they did a great job and were very reasonable. They put in some recessed lighting and swapped out some switches and put in dimmer switches. They also upgraded a couple of outlets. I will say that our house is very new - it was new construction and less than a year old when we bought it. I would imagine that it is probably easier to do work in a new house... it isn't like they had to worry about older wiring or bringing stuff up to code.

We have a friend who is a licensed electrician - he and his family live in Ohio and came to visit us this past summer (if he lived closer we would have had him do the job - he is great). He thought that the work was done very well and mentioned something that they did that he thought was above and beyond what we had asked. I am clueless about that stuff though and can't remember what it was. Anyway, he thought that they had done a great job.

We did get an estimate from Copsey's electric (I think I spelled that right?) and they were pretty close to what King's electric charged - we only decided to go with King's because a friend had used them to do some wiring for a home theater and they were very pleased with their work. But I thought that the guy from Copsey's was very nice, and their estimate was very comparable.

I forgot to mention that we are in Hollywood - but I would imagine that both companies serve Calvert and St. Mary's?

have him verify wether it's aluminum or copper wire. They used alum. back in the 70's. Bad stuff. It may be cost prohibitive to replace but he can put an anti-oxide on it and make sure the terminations are tight.
