Benedict bridge? Anyone know what's going on? Coming home they had one lane partially closed. On the bridge was as firetruck, several police cars (county and state) and down where the boat ramp is there were several rescue squad trucks. I hope a bridge worker didn't fall.

Wouldn't suprise me. Last week a small work barge went drifting down the river with a bunch of workers on it yelling for help. Engine died. My boss called the DNR and a boat was sent for 'em. If they don't know how to use an anchor, I'm not too confident in their ability to not drop into the drink!

| I saw the boat well should I say the front end lf the boat all smashed up in the water right next to the draw bridge. If you are coming west from calvert it will be on your left hand side . That's the only place you can see it ... looks pretty bad !

Wander if the steel rods they were putting in last week four feet below the underside of the bridge could have played a part - I doubt it but? Drove under the bridge without realizing they were there and almost lost the tips off a few fishing rods. There were signs up saying bridge was 4 feet lower but our minds didn't work fast enough to figure it out.

Under the Bridge My husband almost lost his head under that bridge this past Friday. Those steel cables were not marked nor could they be seen until it was too late. We lost the entire top of our boat, lots of blood and a big chunk of my husband's head. If anyone can tell me what kind of "signage" you saw before this past Saturday I would greatly appreciate it. In addition, we went back to the bridge on Sunday and miraculously there were NEW yellow and red lights hanging there...but still not very visible by day light nor night until you were on top of the cables....anyone know when those went up? We really appreciate your help, thanks!
