| Anyone remember Go Cups? When I moved to Leonardtown in the early 80's, bars used to be able to sell beer in "Go Cups". You'd drive up to a drive-in window and buy beer for the road! They outlawed the practice not too long after, but being from the metro DC area of Maryland, I had never seen anything quite like that before. |

| Tequila Sunrise. Prettiest and best tasting drink you could get.

| Go cups have been replaced by brown paper bags around 10 ounce cans or the bottle of your choice. |

| Last year, some relatives of mine I had never met came here from Southern California. All they could talk about was the number of drive-thru liquor stores down here. They saw one and had to turn back and take a picture. Then they saw another, then another, then another and soon it became a game between a couple of them to see who could spot the next one and how many they could find. Living in SMC my whole life, I never realized they were such an oddity. |
