This is what I did

When I got married a few years ago I didn't have a lot of extra cash to spend on a gift - between buying another house, moving, wedding and honeymoon I was done! My husband LOVES sailing and really wants a sail boat - so instead of getting him a real one - I got him one that fits in our bay window. It was a very nice model that I got at an antique store. So maybe think of something he dreams of having and get him something related to that.

When my brother and his wife got married - he got them both bikes - so they could take a bike ride together in the evenings. 20 years later - they still go for a bike ride at night (of course, not this time of year).
