| Webster Field Annex, St. Inigoes ? Any info / opinion regarding working at Webster Field? Does Pax River or Webster Field have a day care facility? Thanks |

| Pax has daycare. I'm not sure about Webster.

| Webster does not have daycare facilities on board the station. However, there is in-home daycare nearby.

| Are you familiar with the City of Dis? It's a lot like that. Quote:
No. Sorry. Nor do they have restaraunts, boutiques, cafes, or any modern convenience of any kind. The only thing on Webster Field are a couple of UAV hangars, a bunch of RF equipment and some shoddy buildings that are rusting away even as we speak. This place is a pit.

I worked at Webster Field for 36 years and really liked it... It is more of a rural environment, but I actually preferred that... less traffic (except for the light at Great Mills on the way home) And it is true that there aren't many restaurants nearby and you couldn't easily run out to stores at lunch time, but I viewed that as a money saver. The buildings I worked in were older, but well maintained... I never was in the cubicle type environment.. had a window in most of the offices I worked in.. I guess it all depends what you are looking for.. | |

| Actually, no. If I didn't love my job, there's no way I would tolerate working in this godforsaken wasteland. Quote:
But with the exception of traffic, I'm looking for the exact opposite of this place. I live in Calvert County, though - so, unfortunately, I have to drive through 235 traffic anyway (which was simply lovely this morning). When I'm at work, I like to have lunch options. Currently my only option is to brown-bag it (which I hate doing) or drive for so long that my lunch hour is wasted. Even a 7-11 where I could buy a hot-dog from time to time would be something. Is the St. Inigoes Market still open? (Looks like it's gone). That would be nice if it didn't suck. $9 for a steak sammich that tastes like freeze-dried ass. Pfft. I'd rather eat dirt. I really don't care about the condition of the building as long as it keeps the elements off my computers, and keeps me from freezing my tuchas off during the winter. A window would be nice, but there's really not much around here that I'm super psyched up to look at. Just some trees. But I enjoy what I do here, so I'll continue to work here. That doesn't mean I won't ##### about it though.
