Sure, drop them off. Auntie Beyotche will whip them into shape.

Kinda like the way that some people feel entitled to dictate their needs and desires to any parent who may have the audacity to bring a child out in public?

I think some folks here are mistaken about the reason for removing an angry child from a public place. Yes, that is the proper response in most cases, and as a parent, I do so in order to send a strong message to my child that their behavior is inappropriate. I remove them from the store, etc. for THEIR benefit - so that they can learn proper social etiquette, and set them up to succeed later in life.

The fact that you are happy to see us head out the door is a side benefit, but it's not my primary concern.

It's all about the situation. If my kid starts to act up while I'm paying at the register - and I'm 1 minute away from walking out the door anyway - you're probably just going hear crying for one more minute.

OTOH, last week mine acted up just as we sat down in a restaurant. I took him out, and was stuck in the car with him while the rest of the family ate their meal. I would never subject people to an entire meal's worth of yelling, nor would I ever let my son get away with that. It would be a dis-service to him.

I think the OP's point was about the location & environment - the place was already packed with noisy people & kids. A few minutes of crying while she placed an order was not the end of the world.

I am deathly allergic to screaming toddlers, to the point that I once had to be hospitalized. They need to be banned from all public places. It's an environmental and safety issue.

Charlie Sheen has that allergy, too.

I'm not allergic to them, but I seem to get sick every time I'm exposed to one of the germy little sucka's.

FWIW, I see plenty of well behaved babies and toddlers all the time.
