| The Glassman just came and repaired my drivers side window and winshield while I was at work. He was very professional, timely, and did a fantastic job. Now on the way home from work today I will not have to dodge snow flurries. The Glassman also paid my deductible so I didn't have to come out of pocket at all. I am sure you have seen the can with the cartoon on the side driving around. Here is the website. Southern Maryland Auto Glass - Home - Lexington Park, MD |

| Yeah, I would bet that if they pay up to $75 in deductible, they would rack those charges onto the overall cost. I think I would do a bit more shopping first. Ask for a written quote cause it's hard to argue with a liar after the billing.

| I have to replace my windshield and I have a $100 deductable. I do not mind if they pay the deductable and add it back into the cost of the windshield replacement cost that insurance will pay. I would rather not have to pay out of my pocket.

| The one time I paid out of pocket for a windshield Royal Glass was the best price.

![]() Perhaps that deductible is mandated for a reason? [whisper] maybe to weeds out the ripoffs? [/whisper]

For auto glass, all insurance companies pay based off of NAGS (National Auto Glass Specifications) list prices, which are much higher than what they charge the customers when they are paying out of their pocket. So, if they billed the insurance company for the windshield with deductble added, they would still be making at least what we would have if you paid out of pocket, even after they waived $100 off the bill. I see nothing wrong with it.
