St. Mary's County Completes Draft of Updated Road Ordinance

The Department of Public Works & Transportation has completed a review and draft update of the May 7, 2002 Road Ordinance. Most of the text amendments are minor and are planned to reflect current streamlining initiatives, ensure consistency with current practice(s), add needed clarification and reduce redundancy between other ordinances.

The document will remain on the County website for a minimum of thirty (30) days to obtain initial public comment and feedback, particularly from local developers, surveyors and engineers. The Department will compile all public comments received and recommend a final draft to the Board of County Commissioners for consideration prior to scheduling a formal Public Hearing.
