Fishing in North Beach

Often I walk to the fishing pier in North Beach that is usually filled with people fishing. I have yet to actually see anyone pull a fish out of the water there. Has anyone been fishing off of that pier and caught anything? What might you pull out of the water there, and when?

i have caught hard head and skate on that peir. usually later in the summer.

I've "heard" people have caught rockfish, but when i go walking up there i actually see buckets full of hard head and croacker around mid to late summer.
