Bicycle Struck Lastnight (Waldorf)

So OTW home last night from a friends, I was coming from Laplata, and I always take 227, then a right onto Bensville Rd to get to my place...and came upon a SUV stopped in the middle of my lane..I slowed down and went to go around him, and noticed someone on a bike, on the opposite side of the road, mostly on the shoulder...bike was bent up and the person laying there was motionless.

Does anyone have any info on this? It was about 3:30 am... the SUV I went around must of been the person that hit the bike, I was about to pull my cell phone out and report it, but a Charles county sheriff had just pulled up and threw his lights on.

This happened in the area of Bensville Road, and Capt Dement Drive, or it may have been Eutaw Forrest Drive, they are both close to each other.

Not sure why someone would be riding a bike that late at night, in the pitch dark..but hope he (looked like a male) is alright

Do you remember when the middle-aged bicyclist was hit and killed about a year ago, at 11 p.m. at night, riding at the sharp, blind curve on Chapel Point Road, near Port Tobacco.

All we have so far is that a middle aged male was injured when a juvenile bicycle snuck out of its owner's house in the middle of the night. The male was struck while he was crossing the road. It's unknown whether alcohol was involved.
