Back from the Home Grown Farm Market

IrishGal and I made quite a haul. I'm now taking a break from washing and storing everything. Can't decide what to eat first...

Blueberries
Strawberries
Peaches
Lettuce, both leaf and hydroponic
Beets
Radishes
(and their respective greens)
Eggs
Grass-fed beef
Eggs
Corn
Turnips
Cucumbers for pickling
Tomatoes
Cheese
Local honey

I love summer!!

Nope. We went up to Charlotte Hall after and they didn't have any there, either.

We stopped by the southern end Farmer's Market this morning and picked up some fresh beets, some homemade chocolate truffles, two kinds of strawberry jam and a package of homemade potato rolls from T&A Farm, and a white peach jam from Trossbach's Farm. Oh, and some fresh peaches from Trossbach's, too.

Oh. My. God.

Delish!

Got fresh lettuce and squash from the garden. So squash casserole tomorrow night.

Out of our personal garden, we are getting cucumbers, squash, zucchini, blueberries, and raspberries. The strawberries are already behind us.

But we are looking at sometime very soon to have some more cukes, zucchini, squash, the afore-mentioned berries, corn, green peppers, carrots, beets, potatoes, and more tomatoes than should be legal. Plus, my herb garden is positively beautiful right now....in a few weeks it'll be bursting with goodness.

This all looks/sounds so delicous, I think I might have to go on a farmer's market crawl next Saturday morning.

Vrai, I love your woven basket/bag.

Are you going to set up a booth at the market? Your bounty of goodness last year was outstanding.

Were the tomatoes local? All I have is a little green one.
