They hit me up today for money. I knew they would blow it on liquor, drugs, and women.....then it hit me....that's what I'M gonna do.

Baltimore has a voucher program, were you can buy a booklet of vouchers for McDonalds, and other fast food places. When hit up by a panhandler, you give him the voucher instead of cash. It works, but only when the voucher is used and not sold off for cash.
Saw a dude at the inner harbor the other day get offered a voucher and he declined it, and went on hitting the tourists up for cash with his "I am outta work, need food" hand made card board sign.

That is why I would offer to buy them a sandwich and a drink before I would give them cash, but I would likely be rebuffed so I don't. They'll just go spend it on booze anyway. I see them downtown all the time and and think to myself, "Should I tell them they might have better luck if they panhandled somewhere else besides in front of the liquor store?"

there is a big bald black guy that works from kmart in california area to the old 7 eleven. that dumb a$# has hit me up a few times with the same story, and he likes the sheetz on 235 alot lol. i just look at him with a grin on my face. I know the job market is tough but i have never gone without a job and i have had to do some bs jobs in the past but i did it these people dont want to do anything but live of of others, low life pos!!!

So, I'm at HOME working in my garage with the doors open and this crack head woman walks right on in asking for a dollar for the bus!!!! I said you need to leave my property now. Luckly she just walked off... WTH!!!!

I don't live in the hood or a neighborhood either, I'm on a quiet rural road.

Friend of mine lives in a nice subdivision, maybe 20-30 houses, nothing under say $350K, even in today's market. Nice white fence out front where it fronts 235. He reports updates from the HOA, seems they get a lot of attention from mobile panhandlers, shady meatsellers, thieves, and assorted ne'er-do-wells.

Makes me happy our little street has nothing on the main drag but the sign. And the driveways make it so you cant see the houses very well. :)
