TJ Bridge and Approaches

Since I have been preoccupied with my miniscule endeavors, I haven't kept up with the plans and options for the subject area and what the timetable might be. Are any of you in-touch folks able to give us a blurb on the latest? For those new here, it is no secret that the Calvert-St. Mary's connection is inadequate in terms of volume and age, and authorities are finally looking at that. A few proposals have been fielded for poll-like replies, but they communicate so dayum well that folks like me have no idea what the result was (a year or two ago). Some of us have no time to drill down or look for resources that "everybody" knows about, so that is what really drives my question.

I would say current status due to funding temporarily in the toilet basically option 1 do nothing but maintenance.

The following link says last updated on 6-21-2012 lists it as a planning study.

Under the part that says how much will this cost they only have planning costs of 6 million plus.
How much will this project cost?
Project Number: SM351_11
The published CTP funding for this project is:
PHASE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST

Planning $6,250,000.00
Engineering $0.00
Right-of-way $0.00
Construction $0.00
---------------------------
Total $6,250,000.00

Good ole MOM ain't gonna put $6 million into a bridge down here. This is not Baltimore and it's not loaded with Dems to get the next Dem Gov into office. He'd rather stick the money into Casa de MD.

I think that is what was spent on the planning back in 2007. Any of the options listed on that site for a new bridge aree going to be hundreds of millions at least. 6.2M just got you the report explaining what the options were.
