I hope we get some much needed rain. But please, no more wind! I need my trees to remain standing.

We knew there were 70+ mile an hour winds and hail the size of golf balls.

How is it that we knew about this at 5, but the weathermen were surprised at 10:30 when it hit????? We spent 2 hours taking down 5 very large tents we had set up for the next day. Made sure everything was tied down and secured. Kept a close watch on the radar the entire time. Finished up and still had time to sit back and wait for it to hit.

true... but the flip side is... there was nothing the utility companies could have done to prepare. (not that you are beyotching)

Now go to the store and get beer and ice for the party. Thanks.
Actaully, based on the date time group of the NWS watch, St. Mary's was included in the original statement. I got my email alert before you even started the thread.

I am biatching, at the weathermen that didn't warn people how bad this storm was going to be. I'm sure there was a lot of property damage that could have been avoided had they known they were going to get hurricane force winds and hail.

We're in the same situation. Been very lucky as far as outages go. My power feed is "up stream" from the school I live near. If I don't have power, the school doesn't have power. So, my line tends to be high priority on the to-be-fixed list.
