St. Mary's and MD flag

I read that in St. Mary's they are very big on flying the county flag but not so much on the state flag. Is this true? If so, why?

Where did you read this?

I would fly the county flag before the state flag any day. The county isn't trying to take away my 2nd amendment rights or tax me to death so it can support illegals and welfare moochers.

St Mary’s County Flag « Maryland Daily Photo

In every county of Maryland citizens display the state flag. In St Mary’s county, the county flag is almost more of a common site than the state flag. The flag displays the county seal in the center with the date of its incorporation, 1637, which is three years after the first colonists in Maryland arrived in what would become St. Mary’s county. The colonists who arrived in the state were certainly religiously minded. The Lords Baltimore were Catholic and sought to make Maryland a place of religious toleration. (at least for all christian sects) The county’s name is given to Mary, mother of Jesus, not the same Mary for whom the state is named.

I can accept this reply. I didn't know if it was some Civil War hold over of bitterness.

Dude, you a little uptight or what?

If you know anyone who's upset over something that happened during the civil war, I'd steer clear of them. They have mental issues. That's one of the silliest thing I ever heard.
