If you were renting a house that needed some major upgrades and repairs and your landlord offered to lower your rent but not do the much needed repairs & upgrades, what would you do? Especially if the repairs that were needed were costing you more money in your utility bills.

Personally, I love the new McKays on Hollywood Rd. It was definitely needed. I wouldnt do my weekly shopping there, but for something special or a good bottle of wine. I would definitely go there.

exactly. the wildewood mckays was a complete dump. even when I lived in wildewood (10 years ago) and could have walked to mckays i refused to go there. even if their rent was non-existent that storefront was costing them business.

I'm curious, where do you do most of your shopping?

Thumbs up

Bit of a drive for me from LP and SMC, but it is much like a mini Whole Foods.

Much more modern and upscale and not typical SMIB.

You can even sit in the back area in couches by the fire with food and wine and watch TV or just socialize.

I'm sorry if people were inconvenienced by the closing of the Wildwood store. The new and improved McKays on Hollywood Road is the closest store to us and saves us a trek into Leonardtown. I'm sure there are as many people "convenienced" by this store re-opening as those inconvenienced by the one in Wildwood closing. Luckily there is a nice Giant not too far up the road for the Wildwood folks.

When my kids were in Taekwondo I would walk down to try and pass time. I could not even walk in the meat department because of the smell and the one time I went to get brats all of the meat in that sections had this weird brownish gray color. I totally understand why it closed. I am also very happy about the Charlotte hall store moving. It would definitely be cheaper to build new than to fix everything wrong in that store. I do not shop there now even though it is one of the closest stores to my house but once they move I will definitely give them a try.

That's why they exist
