I guess the multiple interviews, requirement to be an upstanding citizen etc. does get the Cathys a higher quality of franchisees.

I was gong to say, the customer service starts at the very top, they carefully screen the people they sell the franchise to. My understanding is that they only do individuals and don't allow multiple franchises because they want that owner in the store, they want their owners involved.

They choose a quality franchise owner, who in turn hires decent employees who are properly supervised. That means good service to the customers.

Besides, I like the food and the diet lemonade

They have some operators with more than one store, but they cap it at a low number, maybe 5 or so and only if someone has shown that he is capable to manage his initial store according to company standards.

That's the main reason I go in there, I like their sandwiches, the fact that the stores are allways neat and the service friendly.

Ok. I must be a scrooge. But that is a total waste of gas and time. mail it back. Theres no way in hell I would drive for 4 hours to give someone back a wallet..it was hardly cancer drugs or something. I think it was a nice gesture but if someone did that for me I would be totally uncomfortable.

Maybe he just likes taking road trips. Must be single I would think. Amazing, sometimes a personal touch has much more meaning than your check is in the mail.

Don't broad brush all the McDonalds franchises because of those in SoMD

Actually the new store in California, by K-Mart, has been pretty good.

Okay, I use the drive thru for breakfsast, but the people have for the most part been friendly and effeicient. The line seems to move rather quickly.

Not like the POS on base. :(
