Execution of a budget! And no, we ARE in fiscal year 2013 (in the books of the federal govt). In case you missed it Poindexter, the agency FY13 budgets were signed by the President and execution started several months ago. I guess that means nothing to you tho. Keep diggin through the Limpdick and Beck archives for some whippy dippy come-back and reply. I am sure you can.

Yes, I know we are currently in FY13. However, income numbers for FY12 have not been released yet, AFAIK and FY13 incomes are just projections until the FY is over and the receipts are tallied.

Now, would you like to have an adult conversation about the budget or are you going to continue to act like a child and call me names?

My issue is mainly your whole post with fudged numbers that look practically what Beck posts on his propaganda messages, with Limbaugh (limpdeek) echoing the tripe! Spin the numbers to reflect taxing the 1% is a bad thing too! Do you know how much revenue is out of proportion to personal income tax and the corporate tax? You kinda forget corporate tax in your baloney post! C'mon, do your own research, that is why I posted the link. Don't reply on Fox News and right wing media for your information. The FY budgets are as accurate as anything else out there for your information Poindexter. And I call 'em as I see 'em!

What the hell, let's talk numbers using FY13 numbers from DooDoo's source:
Government Spending Details: Federal State Local for 2013 - Charts

The government's income (taxes) are projected to be $2,900B.

The numbers aren't broken out into mandatory and discretionary, but the combined (everything except M/M, SS, and DoD) is $1,107B. Which leaves ~$1,800B

Medicare/Medicaid is $916B, Social Security is $879B, and Defense was $901B.

See a problem yet? It is impossible to balance the budget without making changes to Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, AND DoD. If a politician isn't talking about cuts to all three, they are trying to dupe you.

And GURPS, if you don't want to touch defense, you're talking about cutting Medicare/Medicaid and SS in half!

I understand that - Progs always want to CUT Defense 1st talk about entitlements LATER

wack entitlements 1st then we can talk defense ... really cuts - end baseline budgeting

none of this 'less expansion' is a cut - if spending was supposed to go up by 9 % cut out that 9% and another 9% reduction over last yrs spending numbers

depts should have to re justify there budgets EVERY yr ... or given the size of GOV. revist every dept every 2 yrs

business do it every yr.

no more borrowing .43 of every dollar spent

I find it amazing that the average Joe Schmoe can solve the nations financial problems, but the people that are being paid to do it, can't. UFB.
