Math Check..

I've used a particular formula(s) to figure out this number, but I know how much EVERYONE on here loves to do Math sooo I thought I'd pop in and check my math (without giving away my answer).

Word problem!

Radio/Radar/Beacon antenna on a tower 30 feet tall, what would the minimum altitude of a plane have to be at 200 miles for the operators to have Radio Line of Sight, or to acquire the target?

What would it have to be if using the visual Line of sight?

Ready, GO!!

Trick question. Nautical or statute? Not enough info to answer the question.

Are you taking into account the curvatuve of the Earth, or are you assuming that the ground is flat?

Either way, this is a simple trig problem.

edit: I remember this problem from pre-calc

Is it the ground that is flat or the Earth that is not round?
