Flooding this morning

Classic. Woke up to a flood tide this morning and its still nearly 2 feet above normal high tide. Much of the island main road is under water as is much of my yard.

About the same flood level as we had during Sandy. But without all the prior hysteria and without any advance notice whatsoever.

Low pressure and wind? I woke up hearing some good gusts last night and something hit the house. Smallish branch about 2"x6' on the garage roof.

Barometer "lowish" but certainly not unusually so. Had a little wind last night but practically slick cam this morning. High tide was at 8:32am here and the water is still over the road and over my pier.

Mystery flood. oh..hang on...something the Mayans predicted, maybe?

reports of flooding coming in around the Annapolis area too.
Ego alley is flooded, Turkey point is flooded
looks like any low lying road near water is pretty much flooded.

and Im stuck in Silver Spring, I like to wash the mud off the bottom of the truck when roads flood. Missing my chance today.

My son just posted pics on FB from Golden Beach, he says the water is higher now than it was during Sandy. No advance notice? That's crazy.

Well, no broadcast notice per se, but all the weather maps have been forecasting coastal flood conditions for the past few days.

We avoid running in the flooded road like the plague. Salt water makes everying fail or rust out in a remarkably short time period...

Hope all is well for you and your property. Weather Bug has been giving me the Coastal Flood Warnings pretty much all this week. Between the wind and the rain...
