I had a 4 inch nail go in through the tread and come out through the sidewall. Couldn't be patched and my tires are over $200 each.

A ton of road construction and other development (new houses, commercial construction) must be to blame. Plus it isn't any fun for the construction professionals to actually secure their nails and other sharp thingies before ripping down Rt 235 at 98 mph in their rusty work trucks.

I guess the roadhazard warranties on your next set of tires would be a good thing. I used to buy this, maybe I should on the set I'm fixin' to buy in a couple of weeks....
