Dusty house

The dust level in our house seems worse in the last month or so than it ever has. It's always been pretty dusty here, but we dust one day, and the next day, there's a noticeable level of dust.

Any thoughts?

Wood stove? Construction in the area?
I have an insert in my fireplace and I use an airfilter/ionizer; it works great-also eliminates static.

Have new/additional pets? Dogs and cats can raise a lot of dust.

Forced air heating? Put in a different, finer filter and change it more often.

We had construction up the street a couple of years ago, and I don't remember this much dust.

Yeah, and my windows are only dirty when the sun shines thru them in the morning.

Speaking about sunny-I'm so disappointed in our winter weather!
