| Taxi Service in Calvert? Hello! Is anyone aware of a taxi service in Calvert? A few of us plan to go out this weekend, get real good and liquored up, and don't want to drive home bombed. Besides possibly hurting or killing someone else, if I got pulled over, I'd probably walk the line like.... ![]() Seriously, I looked around and couldn't find a number. Thank you! |

| Veras van service is actually FREE. And they'll travel up to 15 miles from Veras. Nice considering Prince Frederick is 14 or so miles away. We've used them once; and they were great. Just gave them a nice tip to and from. |

| That's good to know. I cannot handle the crowds at Vera's and am in an different age group than most people there. :gettingold:

| the veras shuttle is awesome. We usually go out to dinner at monterays and they pick us up from there and drop us at the house later that night. i give the guy a good tip and i get to drink all I want ![]() A cab would be great, cuz of tiki of course. But the only ones are st. marys cabs and they charge you the trip out to you.

| I have always tried to get my friends and family to start a "Drive a Drunk" Buy a van that seats 8 to 12, put plastic seatcovers on the seat and start a taxi service just on the weekends to drive those that may have been bending the elbow a little to much. Run it in St. Marys and Solomons area Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not really a taxi service, but a DD for rent service. |

| Chesapeake Cab will take runs in the southern end of the county. Might want to call them and check to see if they are active out where you'll be. Be warned they are really slow, it sometimes takes an hour or more to get a cab, especially at night and on the weekends. |

| I think it's incredibly irresponsible of any municipality that allows the sale of liquor in it's jurisdiction to not have alternative means of transportation. I'm actually surprised we don't hear about more DWI's. Is the lack of cab companies in St.Mary's and Calvert due the county commission not granting licenses or is it just that few individuals see the market for said service?
