Are people so hard-up they have to do this? Or maybe they are so addicted to coupons they can't help themselves.
I am in the CRE and my paper box is on Catalina.
That is looney! But I am not sure how you miss the thieves if it has been going on for so long? Surely you can estimate delivery time, or is it that sporadic?

If'n you catch them... send bay_kat to the rescue since her purse is loaded!

You are more than welcome to my stack of coupons. There are only a few I use regularly. I am also in CRE. PM me if interested.

That could be an option for the Sunday paper.

Good idea! Unfortunatly I have a cluster mailbox that opens with a key and not nearly big enough for the paper.

Interesting idea. But the paper boxs are on the main road. They don't deliver on the side streets. I would have to put the camera in the road right-of-way or on someone elses property.

It doesn't happen every week. As mentioned above I can't see the box from my house. It's up on the main road. It comes in the wee hours but not sure exactly when.

Thanks, but I don't use the coupons, but save them for my daughter.
I do miss the Dilbert cartoon in the WP Magazine. When they take the Sunday funnies, I miss the Samurai sudoko.

Of the seven boxs grouped with mine, only two of us are still getting papers. My across the street neighbor just canceled theirs last week because of the thefts.
I expect before long it won't be economical for them to deliver papers. The computer screen is just not the same for me. Too old school I guess.

Well I went to Walmart and bought a $50 trail camera. Cheapest one they have.
I figure someone will either steal it or break it out there.
I have a week to figure out how to use it.Then I'll give it a try.

Funny thing is I was having this problem also, I called my carrier Sat. mornings when I discovered missing paper inserts and made her bring new ones to the house, after 3 or 4 times it stopped. The carrier contracts the delivery. Strange?

We've had the same problem over the years and now the carrier just throws the paper wrapped in plastic, onto our driveway.

Last saturday I had evidence that the paper had been taken back out of the box.
The box has a crack in the plastic that only snags the paper on the way out. I always lift the paper when taking it out to keep it from snaging and tearing the paper.
Last saturday the plastic paper bag was torn from the snag and the Sunday insert taken.

Where do you think all those Extreme Couponers get their stuff?

Seriously, I hope you catch them! Don't be surprised if you find out it is your next door neighbor! Don't tell ANYONE close to you that you are mounting that camera AND try to do it when the neighbors are not milling about outside.

Good Luck
