Dig in your heels some more and tell yourself you're winning. Great tactic. Your argument is beyond silly, and you know it. Anyway, this sidetrack is stupid. The fact is that Apple (the company, not the supplier) tends to hire well educated people and pay them well. Those are the people who design and market the items that they then pay another company to make. Note those two words "another company." They do not own the factory, do not hire the people, and do not determine their wages or benefits. They pay X amount per item, whether that takes one highly skilled person to make or ten low skilled workers. Since Apple is not the actual manufacturer, they of course have little reason to hire low paid people. That's why they pay their people well. Not because they have some desire to pay their people better out of the goodness of their heart, but because the highly skilled people cost big bucks. | |

| You should put that on a bumper sticker.

For one thing, no one at Gude Brothers is committing suicide. For another, Gary has long made fun of me for paying higher than average wages. For three, he could have LONG ditched me for lower cost producers out of state but he, unlike Apple, very much takes pride in the fact that he does business with, as you so usefully pointed out, LOCAL vendors that are, gee wiz, even in his own state. Why? His reasoning is a whole lot different than Apples. We're pretty good at what we do. And, lastly, not even HIS name is on the products. Why? because smart guys, like the ones at Apple, know how to do the least and get the most. However, don't let that get in the way of digging your heels in.

| Scott's name is on their product. Not mine. Whose symbol is on the Iphone? The manufacturer in China?
