| Metrocast is an embarassment I have been on the phone with these people for the past month. Just checked my account and I pay for 35mbs of service and when I do speed checks at night I am getting 0.8mbs. They go through the usual BS blaming your router and blaming your house wiring. I tell them its a new house and I've done the test through the modem and then they just give the excuse that its peak time and there is nothing they can do. For the past month they say they are going to upgrade their equipment and I've seen no change. Metrocast is an embarrassment of a company. They are lucky they have a monopoly on "high" speed internet. FIOS can't get down here fast enough. |

| Whoa there! I recently decided to shift my company phone and net access over to a Metrocast business package, almost entirely because of the advertised speed difference. We are currently running our data through 1/2 of a T1 and what Metrocast has proposed to provide via their cable would be 20 times faster. Heck... 0.8mb is about what we have now! I didn't want to hear that their claims might be total BS but its not too late since the switchover hasn't been done yet.. Tanks for the warning...gotta go do some more research.

| Same here. Don't lilke the prices but can't complain about service. Been in my house for six years and have had to call Metrocast 3 or 4 times for Interent outages. Each time, they set someone out to test the signal levels.

| If I'm being sold 13mb and I'm paying for it...it's got to be something reasonably close to that and reliably so.

| I'll be getting to the bottom of that ..for certain. Too important a decision for a business that relies so heavily on the utility. Our T-1 has been almost bulletproof...its just that it's so very slow by "today's standards".
