Excerpts from an article on SoMdNews.com today. I'm speechless! I also don't know who Todd Morgan is but his stock just started to rise in my eyes.

SoMdNews.com: Hughesville to host new College of Southern Maryland campus

“Commissioner Jarboe didn’t help the situation any damn bit,” St. Mary’s Commissioner Todd Morgan (R) said Wednesday after CSM’s announcement that it would be locating new campus in Charles rather than St. Mary’s County.

“Jarboe’s arrogance through the whole process was partly to blame,” said John Parlett, a Charlotte Hall-based developer who also offered 68 acres to the college for $4.5 million. Jarboe “insisted it shouldn’t be in St. Mary’s County after he already bid on the project.” Jarboe offered his 22 acres for $1,852,150."

Oh please. Parlett and Jarboe have been in having pizzing contests for decades. This is just one of many.

Selected site=50 acres for $770,000

Jarboe wanted $1.8 mil for 22 acres.

Parlett offered his bargain deal of 68 acres for $4.5 million!

If the college had purchased etiher of these other sites there would be outrage about good old boys, and SMIBS, and every other idiotic slur on Southern Maryland that is the bread and butter of these forums.
