Thumbs up So. MD Light the Night Walk

I was viewing the thread about Dylan Brown and noticed that there were a few of you who made comments about the upcoming Leukemia and Lymphoma Society sponsored Light the Night Walk. I am the current Committee Chair for this event in Southern Maryland. This walk has been held in Calvert County for the last 5 years and finally got moved to St. Mary's this year. The walk will be taking place at the St. Mary's County Governmental Center on Leonardtown/Hollywood Road. Registration starts at 5:30. This is an evening walk where participants raising $25 or more will receive a blinking red balloon. Survivors of cancer will carry white blinking balloons. This is really a beautiful sight to see. I have been involved with the walk since its beginning and walk in memory of my father who passed away in 1999 from Leukemia. We are hoping to have a big turnout this year. Anyone wishing to register for the walk can do so at www.lightthenight.org. It's not too late. FYI... Last year we raised over $50,000 on this one evening... Hope we can top it this year.
