they are all over the place in florida. they come out night in swarms...right when youre playing night b-ball with your buddies under an outdoor light and land on your head and clothing! they crunch really loud when stepped on too!

I've never in my life heard of or seen camel crickets, spickets or whatever they are. They're pretty gnarly looking. But if they're more cricket than spider, I suppose they're OK. I wouldn't want one crawling across my face, but they're ok.


Camel spiders, now. Those are most definitely not ok.
