I was born and raised in St. Mary's Co. and I would not live in Lexington Park unless someone gave me a home FREE & CLEAR. There is nothing "quaint" or attractive about the area -you can't even call it a "town" - it just SPRANG up around a navy base and had little or no growth control. St. Mary's Co. can be a wonderful place to live and raise a family but be prepared - it's an area that has a reputation for more bars per person than any other place in the country.
Good luck in your house hunting. Just stay north or south of Lexington Park - not in it!

Here are the ones that I am trying to get more information on.

Essex South - Is that the one down by Gate 3, not Cedar Cove, but one of the smaller ones.

Bay Ridge

Westbury

If anyone knows about these places please give me some feedback. If we are going to spend in the upper 200's on a house, I want to make sure it is a in a good area.

Smile Bay Ridge

We have several friends that own there. It's a nice neighborhood. I wouldn't want to pay what the houses are going for. But in that price range go for it. I only wouldn't want to pay the price for them because of what mine cost to build 3.5 years ago-- which is what they are going for now.......... but inflation has hit........... good for me. Bad for you. GOOD LUCK!!

Town Creek isn't a bad area to live in, and it is a Lexington Park address. The houses are mostly older, but the area is nice. Just a thought...

My address is also Lexington Park, but I actually live in the Spring Ridge area- not as nice as St James- but also not so bad to be worthy of "The Park" label.

Nah, you'd have to start prancing around Spring Ridge instead of Great Mills rd. for that to happen.

If I pranced around Great Mills - I'd class up the place.
