| An idea... How about putting the train right off of 231 where 381 comes out? (by that corner store. The train could run right up 381, connect to the tracks by the fire department (my apologies to those that don't know the area to which I refer). That area would kind of be a middle ground to start from...Thoughts?

I've said it twice and I'll say it again... Get a train stop in Waldorf area that connects to DC metro first. That is the key. I'm sure the MD government realizes you can't count on a military installation to provide consistent income to the surrounding population. (BRAC, contracts, downsizing, and the like) So anything further south of Waldorf is taking a huge chance....
