I hadn't ridden in 20 yrs. Sis and use to have horses way back when. But it was like riding a bike. Anyway had an awesome time and want to find some place local around St. Mary's that offers trail riding etc. I'm hooked again.

I see a few horse lovers in the forums. Info would be greatly appreciated.
I got some cool pics. Trigger was my horses name. Little fiesty, but I showed him.

Go check the horse board under pets and animals, there is a post there about trail riding from Sept that has some good info. St Mary's, altho loaded with horses, is not big on hack/rental ride places.

Good luck, and if you really need a fix come help me scoop some poop in White Plains.

I LOVE to ride as well. Try St. Mary's Lake. You can rent and ride around the lake, it's really nice there.

I stayed in a couple of the hostels in that area a few years back. They were both at light houses
heres a link to pics of one of the places, pretty close to half moon bay:

No I didn't. I was tarrred! The horse back riding was actually a stop on my way down to Carmel and Montego Bay. Stopped off at a cool ass bar over by the Lighthouse in Pacifica tho.

Yeah I didn't think to many people did the trail thing around here.
They use to here at Wheaton Regional Park. Don't do that anymore either.
Use to be nice trail riding.
Let me know when you need some help. I'm in that area usually most weekends, otherwise I work and live in Silver Spring.

Yep, it's on the left right before the parking lot. I hike the lake with my dog all the time, so I don't get to ride....need a partner?

I'll check it out this weekend when I get into St. Mary's. Saturday rain, but will check it out.

Partners always welcome.
