I see Vette's on the road everyday, so of course they are commuter cars. It just isn't as practical for everyday driving as say a Toyota Camry with 4 doors, a huge trunk, good gas mileage. Believe me though, I would deal with it if a Vette were practical for me to own.

Actually every car that I see at the race track is better maintained than most of the cars that you will see on the road today.
Real auto racing has nothing to do with being "Macho". It is a hobby for most involved.

Why would you tear it up? 40k miles per year hurts the re sale and ice is a no-no but other than that, it's an ideal commuter car. If you mean safe parking, that is a problem with any car if you have pride in it.

You misunderstood me. It isn't macho enough to use a sports a car as an every day car, or even a weekender. One must race it and tear it up to reach it's full potential.

I get 23 miles to the gallon, I don't golf so I don't need a large trunk and I don't usually want anyone in my car with me, so I don't need 4 doors. How is that impractical?
