So was that NOT the entire letter you sent to him?

Based on what I read, I have to agree with Ken's reply this time.

I think dragging names of deceased through the mud speaks volumes about one's character.

What possible explanation could there be for a 37 yo Naval Lt.Commander to suddenly turn into the side of a truck going the other way other than he lost control of the vehical? The entire road could have been clean and dry except for one spot of ice and if you lose it on that spot you were driving to fast for that spot. I'm not a fan of SUVs, I think their design and dynamics make them dangerous to drive.
Sorry for your loss.

That was my entire letter. It was not my title.

If it came off sounding like i was blaming the salt truck, it was not my intention.

When the police and fire department state "speed and alcohol were not contributing factors to the accident" and then you write about someone who just lost their life and say imply that they were irresponsible is a huge INJUSTICE. Yes I did know the two people in the car very well, and yes, I'm sure my emotions are driving me to do this. But we are talking about two young people who were pillars of the community be trash talked by Mr. Rossignol. I can't stand idle to watch.

I don't know the victims of the accident, but I agree with you completely. It takes a cruel, heartless, bitter person to do what KR has done.

Thank you all for reading the post, make your own decisions whether or not to follow what I am doing. I just put it up for a suggestion for those of us who are tired of the St. Mary's Today.

You are welcome to post your input on either side of the matter, but I personally am not here to debate, just to do my part as an upset citizen.

thanks,
Lance

Everyone knows the St. Mary's Today has its own twist on everything, usually biased towards people Ken doesn't like or agree with, or against wrongdoers and criminals in general. But to boycott the advertisers is an idiotic idea. I'm not sure, but I'd be willing to bet that the cost of advertising in the St. Mary's Today is a heck of a lot cheaper than an ad in the Enterprise or even online. That's the reason you see a lot of small businesses advertising there -- Third Base Store, Stone's Butcher, Charlie's Deli, lots of small engine repair places.

Well, I agree that Ken went above and beyond the call of bad taste when he printed those remarks. He probably felt is was a public service or something - "drive carefully in inclement weather".

I feel sorry for the couple's loved ones, having to read that.
