Fence

I need to build a fence around my yard---Due to HOA mandates, it has to be of a certain style/approved by the architectural committee, etc..

Does anyone know of a good fencing company? Are the prices outrageous? Would I be better off to buy a post digger and try to do it myself?

Advice would be appreciated. Thanks...

I would get the HOA Committee to give you some ideas on what would be acceptable first - then get prices. It would be ashame to get prices on one type of fence only to find out the HOA is not going to allow it.

Also, will the HOA allow you to install it yourself or do they want a pro to do it so it is done right?

Just had a fence done by Thomas Fence Company (Joe Thomas). They did a nice job and they are good people to work with. They were about $2K cheaper than the others. 301-769-2274

I had a fence replacement by Clinton Fence in Waldorf. Had to have a second trip by their "clean up" team to straighten and cement the fence posts cause the "day laborers" who did the job in the first place did such a shotty job.

Shoot ... if I'm paying for it, I'm not giving someone else the say in "who" does it. A few forumites helped me with mine, and it was done as "right" as I can imagine!
