GMP cable internet vs. Verizon DSL

Anyone have opinions one way or the other? I'm too impatient for dial-up.

I have DSL and love it, but I can't compare it to GMP because (a) I don't live in St Mary's, we have Comcast here, and (b) I've never had cable internet.

We've got Comcast cable internet and it's the best! But I can't compare it to DSL.

Downtime? When we lost electricity, yes but that's about it. I do agree about the price.

If you do get cable, I would recommend that you buy your own modem to save from having to rent one for 10 buck a month....

for sure buy your own modem and my cable would go out when weather got to cold and it did go offline from time to time and that hasnt happened with dsl(yet)

Hate DSL. Used to like DSL. But, every night (from when I get home from work until I go to bed), the service goes down the toilet. It's been like this most of the time since February.

My cable service here, in Lexington Park, used to be spotting, but they seemed to have ironed most of the bugs out. Of course, you always have the problems inherent of cable, but the only thing that I would complain about is that it isn't free.

I also don't have experience with anything other than Comcast DSL. I'm definitely not complaining about their service.
