| I'd be more inclined to believe it was b/c of construction if it is in fact cancelled. I've made two round-trip crossings of the bridge in the last two weeks, and the west bound side is down to two (outside) lanes with jersey walls up.

| I did hear it was cancelled this year, but not really security reasons, but construction, since they had to resurface again what they already resurfaced once before (last year's screw-up), the construction will not be completed on time. They thought that there would be a huge traffic mess if they went ahead with the walk. Understand the many merchants were'nt to happy about the cancellation. |
