Driving Time and Directions

Can anyone tell me the best and quickest route to take from the Indian Head area to the Patuxent River Naval Base? About how long will it take to get there, also?

Thanks

Indian Head Highway to 228 (Berry Road) cross Crain Highway (Rt. 301) to Leonardtown Road (Rt. 5) travel for approximately 40 minutes.

Take 210 to 238 South. Drive straight for like 45 minutes. Turn left onto base.

What state are you in?? Or did you mean 228 vs. 238?

You're all nuts. I use to live right outside the Base in Indian Head and commute daily to Pax. From the base you take 210 North, make a right onto 225 follow through to light at 301. Make a right onto 301 South, make first left onto Rt.6. Follow Rt. 6 to Rt. 5. Right onto Rt. 5 stay straight (Rt. 5 will vere to the right but continue straight (Rt. 235). Follow 235 to the base. Travel time an hour with no traffic hang-ups.

Best route, but Rt 6 can be so slow.

I commuted for almost a year and never really had a problem. If you get stuck behind someone there are plenty of opportunites to pass.

I have used 6 as an alternate, dozens of times... It has never failed me... As much as I would like to disagree with pixie...
