Ear Piercing

Are there any local jewelry joints that pierce infant ears? Now that Piggy's neck is straightened out we're going to get her ears done. I called G&H but they don't do anyone under the age of 7. And I wouldn't think of allowing anyone at my doc's office to do it, so that's not an option.

I've had K's done 3 times (all with real gold) and each time one (or both) ears got infected. I'd really like her to get them pierced again, but she refuses.

We got Ty's done at Wal-Mart 2 or 3 years ago, just on a whim. He's never had any problem with it.

My granddaughter just went through a horrible time with her ears. They've only been pierced about 6 months and my daughter was very careful with cleaning, etc. and she only wore gold. She had the grossest infection that spread all behind her ears and it was very painful. She can't get the earrings in now and my granddaughter say no way to another piercing.

You might want to try Hair It IS or other beauty salon...

I got both my girls done when they were infants and never had a problem... Went to Ames for one of them and to someplace in the mall for the other one... 16 and 21 years ago, respectively...

Try Wal-Mart.......If you are up in a mall sometime soon, stop in Claire's.

Try Rick's Jeweler's. Not sure if they have an age requirement or not. Good Luck!

Exactly what I went through. I'm guessing it's just because her immune system couldn't handle the metal (gold) at the time.

I had my oldest one's done at Clair's when she was 3 months old. My six yr olds were done at Walmart in November. No problems with either. Walmart's was cheaper and they used two guns. At Clair's each ear was done separately.
