Why are all the hotels booked this week?

Getting a hotel room in LP/Solomons area proved futile for the week of 5/23-27. Finally found a room that was intended for handicapped persons (although we don't need it) in Prince Frederick.

We were wondering what event(s) have sparked the surge in hotel bookings?

Hotels in the area are booked solid quite often during the week because of people visiting the base. Nothing special that I know of.
