I just called the PFVFD. They told me the tickets were $22 for a bracelet to ride all the rides.

IF anyone has not seen this carnival, it's smaller than the Safeway parking lot, has maybe 5-6 rides, and a couple games booths. I think these are the same rides I rode at the FL State fair 20 years ago too.

For $22, I may as well pay a few more bucks and go to King's Dominion or 6 Flags for that price. (Fundrasier or not. Sorry firefighters..thats just ridiculous! $10 would have been reasonable.)

That's ok though... I've used this opportunity to teach my kid a lesson about coping with devastation and disappointment. Thanks guys!

We took the grandkids to the carnival last night. Smallest carnival in all the years I've been here. While the kids had fun..and that is the name of the game...the prices were OUTRAGEOUS!

I have pack of teenagers that want to go tonight. Is there anything for them to do? Maybe I should just take them over to the mini-golf intead.

Not many rides for the older kids at all. In years past, there were always "roving groups of thugs" which bothered me. They've had trouble there too in the past later in the evening.

I dunno...I'd think maybe they'd like the golf and batting cages better.

I live close to the carnival so I drive by there pretty often. It's been pretty packed since it got there, which is great for the fire department.

I see what you mean about the "thugs". As I drove by last night (around 10:30), I saw a pretty large group of thugs (late teens, early 20's) hanging out around the cars parked down the road. I hope they were leaning/sitting on their own cars and not someone elses. If I came out of someplace and saw anyone sitting/leaning on my car

I took my step-daughter to the carnival last year and it was fun. We just bought rides as we went, didn't get a bracelet, and they *were* expensive. But it's for a good cause and not just some dumb carnival, so to me it was worth it.
